The Retrospective is a meeting at the end of each iteration which gives the (development) team time to reflect about what went well (and should stay the same), and what needs to be improved.

The retro is about organizations getting better without external help.

The Retro is typically the first meeting to be abandoned when managers complain about “too many meetings”. Unfortunately, it is the most important meeting to keep, as it is the place for organizations to talk about improvement and manage improvement themselves!
