Kanban in software development is a project management framework (or methodology) to help teams getting work done more efficiently. Kanban helps to visualize work items using a board and cards (Post-It® signs), and to identify bottlenecks to act upon.
The board used to visualize work items is called Kanban board. It is characterized by work-in-progress limits (WIP) and optional swim lanes.
